Welcome from the Police Chief
I would like to welcome you to the Holmes Beach Police
Departmentís website. My name is William L. Tokajer and I am the Chief of Police
for the City of Holmes Beach.
Located in Manatee County, Holmes Beach is the largest of
the three cities on Anna Maria Island and is situated on the Gulf of Mexico at
the southern tip of the entrance to Tampa Bay. Bordered on the north by the
City Anna Maria and the south by the City Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach
stretches just over 3 miles. With the beautiful Gulf of Mexico
white sandy beaches to the west, and the intercoastal waters of Anna Maria
Sound to the east; Holmes Beach has just over 3,800 permanent residents who
call paradise their home.
Throughout this site, we hope to provide you with a
glimpse of the Police Department. Our organization is totally committed to professionalism,
excellence and quality service to the community.
The Holmes Beach Police Department is comprised of 14 full
time sworn law enforcement officers, 1 part-time officer, 5 full time
dispatchers, 1 records clerk and an administrative assistant. Our agency is
committed to providing professional services to those who live, work and visit the
City of Holmes Beach.
Ultimately, our success depends on the talented staff of
the police department and the continuing partnership between the community and
the police department.
All of our efforts are aimed at keeping the City of Holmes
Beach a safe place for those who live, work and visit our piece of paradise.
